9th Jamadi-Ul-Awwal 1433 (2nd April 2012)

The First International Kangaroo Contest was Alhumdulillah carried out successfully on Thursday, 15 March 2012 at our school. It was a great experience for the teachers and students as well. Students were very happy and excited in the morning as they had been preparing their selves for the contest since the last three months. A total of 61 students had enrolled for the IKMC.

There were two levels; Ecolier for classes 3 and 4 and Benjamin for classes 5 and 6. The paper started at 10:00 am sharp and the invigilators for the day were: Ms. Hira, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Fehmina, Ms. Ambreen, Sir Hamood , Sir Hasnain , Ms. Maryam, Ms Salma Haq while Ms. Farah khan was monitoring us from time to time.

Paper timing for Ecolier was 2hrs and for Benjamin, 3 hrs. All answer sheets were collected at 1:00 pm and were sent to IKMC program coordinator on the same day at 2:00pm.

The HFS management supported us a lot. Sir Imran, Sir Najeeb and Sir Kaleem visited the examination area for the moral support of our students.

I would like to say special thanks to Ms. Farah Khan as she supported and guided all the Math teachers from the registration till contest day. Ms. Salma haq, Ms. Yasmeen, Ms. Maryam and Ms. Zaryab had also taken out time from their busy schedule for the IKMC.

Last but not the least, thumbs up to the entire math department, for all the innovative ideas, hardwork and passion. JazakAllah to everyone for the great team work and all the time invested in this event.
