Aim: To show that gas has mass.
Apparatus: electronic balance, two balloons and safety glasses
Method: First, Place a deflated balloon on a balance an find its mass. Next, inflate the balloon by blowing into it. Then place the inflated balloon on the balance and record its mass.
Result: Mass of deflated balloon 2gram, mass of inflated balloon 12g and mass of air in balloon 10g
Observation: The balloon filled with air has a greater mass than the empty balloon.
Conclusion: Air has mass.
Through this activity the students were able to understand the concept easily alhamdulilah!
