Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated in the remembrance of the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim(A.S) to sacrifice his beloved son Hazrat Ismail(A.S) for the sake of Allah swt. Allah swt intervened and replaced his son with a sheep. Till date, Muslims from all over the world celebrate this Eid-ul-Adha festival in remembrance of prophet Ibrahim and Ismail(A.S).
Implanting these values in the mind of children is vital and easily possible if told through stories or displayed through visuals which remain embedded in their young minds.
Junior Montessori had a Hajj activity on Saturday 18th August, 2018. A documentary was shown to the children related to Manasik-e-Hajj. Recitation of Talbiyah was also done which created the spiritual atmosphere.
Children visited the model “Bakra Mandi” which was displayed in the Junior Montessori corridor. They were very excited to see the model animals, namely; sheep, goat, Australian cow and camel.
They decorated them with accessories and loved feeding them. This is how they expressed their love and affection towards the Eid-ul- Adha animals and partook in these activities in school.
