Students were shown a power point presentation on human blood. They shared the information about the structure and function of each type of blood cell among themselves, asked inquired and satisfied each other’s queries.

The students were provided with the resources and in groups they created models of human blood slides, showing types of blood cells and their number in comparison, using plasticine of different colours.

They presented their models in front of the class and shared what they had learned from this hands on activity.

They showed the composition of blood accurately knowing that RBC are much more than WBC and correctly formed shapes of RBC, WBC and platelets.

This was a great science learning experience for all the students who enjoyed themselves immensely. This activity nurtured their scientific enquiry and yearning for similar stimulating situations alhamdulilah!
